2. Data Controller

When you register an account via email or log in using Apple or Google, we may collect your name, email address, and profile information from the third-party account (such as username, email, and profile picture). You may also edit your name and upload a profile picture within the app.

• Derivative Data

When you use HAiCook, our servers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, device type, operating system, usage time, and the pages or features you access in the app (e.g., recipe browsing history, Cooksnap uploads).

• Social Media Data

If you choose to link your account with Apple, Google, or other platforms, we may collect information associated with your profile on those services, such as your name, username, email address, and profile picture.

• Tracking Technologies and Cookies

To enhance your experience and improve service quality, HAiCook may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to collect user interaction data within the app (such as click history and feature usage frequency). This information is used solely for internal analysis and feature optimization, and is not combined with personally identifiable information. HAiCook does not use these technologies for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-app tracking.

4. Use of Information

We collect your information to provide you with a smooth and personalized experience. Specifically, we may use your information to:

• Help you use HAiCook’s core features, including generating AI recipes, browsing AI-generated recipes by others, saving favorites, creating shopping lists, uploading Cooksnaps, planning meals, and setting dietary preferences.

• Analyze usage behavior to optimize app functionality and content.
• Communicate with you, including customer support, push notifications, and promotional messages (if opted-in).

5. AI Content Generation & Decision Transparency

HAiCook utilizes AI technology to generate recipe content and recommendations. All AI-generated content is based on the input and preferences you provide and is intended for informational purposes only. The service does not make automated decisions that have legal or significant personal effects.

We may share your information under certain circumstances, including:

• Legal Obligations or Protection of Rights: If necessary, we may disclose your information to respond to legal processes or investigations, enforce our policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of others.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your data with third-party vendors that help us provide services, such as hosting, analytics, email and push notifications, or payment processing. Some features (e.g., AI recipe generation, image generation, personalized recommendations) may involve transmitting your input or device information to third-party AI or marketing platforms for processing. These services will process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Analytics and Stability Services (Firebase)

HAiCook uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google LLC, to collect aggregated and anonymized usage data for the purposes of understanding how users interact with the app, improving app performance, and enhancing stability.

These services may collect information such as device type, operating system, app usage events, and crash diagnostics. The collected data does not include personally identifiable information such as name, email address, or payment details, and is not used for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-app tracking.

8. Subscription and Purchase Management

If you purchase or subscribe to premium features, certain non-personally identifiable data related to your subscription status will be shared with our purchase management provider, RevenueCat, to verify transactions and maintain your access to paid features.

Your billing information, name, and address are securely managed by Apple or Google and are not visible to us. We only receive limited data, such as whether a purchase was made, its duration, and expiration date. This information is shared with RevenueCat in an anonymous manner for subscription management purposes. 9. International Data Transfers

To enable specific features of this application (including but not limited to AI recipe generation, image processing, push messaging, identity verification, data analytics, and advertising), HAiCook may transfer your data to third-party service providers located in other countries or regions (e.g., the United States) for storage, processing, or use. These jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence.

We will take appropriate legal, technical, and organizational measures to ensure that such international transfers comply with applicable privacy regulations (such as the GDPR and CCPA), and that your personal data is adequately protected.

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), you expressly consent to the transfer of your personal data outside the EEA and acknowledge that such jurisdictions may not offer the same level of data protection as under the GDPR. We will rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legal mechanisms for such transfers where required. We only share the minimum necessary data with third-party service providers that help us deliver core functions of the app (such as hosting, analytics, push notifications, AI processing, or payment services). This app processes user data in accordance with applicable laws, including Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and, where applicable, international regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA.

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your personal data. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We will retain your data only for as long as needed to fulfill the purpose of collection. If your account remains inactive (i.e., not logged in or used) for more than two years and we receive no response to notification, we may consider the account abandoned and will delete or anonymize the data in accordance with internal policies.

11. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under the age of 13. In certain jurisdictions (such as the EEA), the minimum age for consent may be higher (up to 16). In such cases, we will comply with the applicable local laws and require parental or guardian consent. In Taiwan, if the user is a minor, we will require the consent of a parent or legal guardian in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). If we discover that we have collected personal data from a child under the applicable minimum age without the necessary parental or guardian consent, we will delete it as soon as possible. 13. User-Generated Content

By uploading or generating content through HAiCook and choosing to make it public (such as AI-generated recipes or Cooksnap images), you grant us the right to use, display, and feature this content within the HAiCook platform.

14. Deletion Request Policy

When you request the deletion of your personal data, HAiCook will treat this as a request to delete your account. Your account and all associated data, including shopping lists, saved recipes, meal plans, Cooksnaps, history logs, dietary preferences, and personal information (such as name, profile photo, and email address), will be permanently deleted.

However, for legitimate operational reasons and historical content continuity, HAiCook may retain anonymized versions of content you uploaded or generated through AI and chose to publish (e.g., recipes), without any personally identifiable information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time due to operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Any updates will be posted on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
